Two angels in heaven.
We have had lots of homework, some unexpected physical and emotional challenges, loss, and best of all blessings.
Our oldest four are living independently on their own. Each has a job, lives in an apartment where they cook, clean, do laundry, and pay bills on their own. They have stress and challenges but they all enjoy the "Wing stretching, I can do this on my own feeling". Thankfully, they do like to come home, tolerate hugs from a mom who really misses them... and load up on goods from the fridge and pantry. Laundry service is free at home as well ;)
The four youngest are transitioning into the only "littles" at home. However, two of them now tower over Gal, so "little" isn't really true.
Shifting of responsibilities evolved with the changing needs and people in the home. With Gal in school, homeschooling, and working three jobs, the basics (laundry, cleaning, and meals) were shared among Hubby, Smiley and Ladybug. No one starved, everyone had clean clothes, and the house was fine. Gal may have felt a little out of sorts sharing here load at first, after all things needed to be done "right". We all learned to help, share, give, and take.
Two surprises and painful losses were our "little miracles". They were a surprise to be sure and even a bigger shock to lose them so early. Trusting in divine purpose and healing is taking time.
Mission preparations were moving along and change came when the mission call was turned down. Heartache was felt, but prayers were answered and direction was provided.
The wedding engagement and preparations are on for Super Boy and a new beautiful, sweet woman will join us in June. We are thrilled these two have chosen wisely to to prepare for a temple marriage.
So much has happened in two years. Grateful to be looking to the future and still enjoy today.
