He is the purple player on the left ready to pounce. This year is a historical year for his school as this is the first year football has been available at the high school level. This game was the teams Purple and White game. I learned that means the team was split in two and they played each other to get out some of the jitters before they play their first "real" game with another school next week.
He is number 85 on the left. We are so happy for him and all the team that they get this opportunity to play. Many of these boys are juniors and seniors in high school and haven't played football since middle school.
Our middle and high school are really blessed to have a wonderfully talented and loving retired couple move to our remote area of the country and happen to have experience coaching football at the college level. This couple has worked hard to make this a success for the community, schools and the boys.
