Introductions

Life is amazing. It is as diverse as the geographical landscapes we live on. I started reading blogs this past winter at the advice of a friend. Honestly, I had know idea what a blog was. This sweet friend wanted me to start a blog because in her mind I had something to share. Others have said I should write a book. That seems daunting to me so I will tinker around with a blog and see how it goes.

My name is Melanie. I am a middle aged woman married for 20 years to a hard working faithful husband with seven children. They are my life. What I do is for them, with them and because of them. We live on a 20 acre hay farm and dabble with chickens, horses, cows, cats, ducks, gardens and flowers. We are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We home school and public school. Our children range from 6-20 in years and the latter makes me feel old:)  I am a daughter of God who loves to be a wife, a mother, and see the beauty all around. It is everywhere if we look.  

This weekend was General Conference for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We get to spend eight hours in two days listening to spiritually enlightening talks that uplift and edify us as we learn how to better live in these times.
