Sunday you caught the same cold bug that hung around for Christmas. It slowed you down just a little.
Monday you played with toys and felt good enough to go outside.
Tuesday was your special day. Eight years old and excited for triple berry cheesecake with pancakes for supper and dessert with ice cream! It was certainly a little boy's delight.
Wednesday you told me all about how you were going to be in Cub Scouts soon and wear your new blue shirt. The Pinewood Derby is coming and you get to make a car!
Thursday it snowed and sick or not you were outside in those three glorious inches of white perfection whoop'n it up with the rest. Sled rides and fort building it was.
Friday I thought for sure you would rest by the fire. Nope you took off outside and played on the frozen river ice and snow. Yes, you still have a cough but it hasn't slowed you down.
Saturday(today) was yours too. You chose to be baptized along side your friend Kylie. The two of you go all the way back eight years to your first days. While Kylie's sweet mom was laboring away we slipped in to the next room and a short time later you made your first appearance. Precious Kylie wanted her own special day and her mom was patient to wait a little longer.
Tonight we watched as you made your first covenants with the Lord. You were ready for this day. You understood what promises you were making and what responsibility that would take. What a delight for us to be their with you and share in your joy in being baptized.
Now you are nestled in your bed with a new blanket made specially for you. It comforts and reminds you of the promises you have made and the blessings Heavenly Father has for you. I hope in the days and years to come you remember the love our Heavenly Father, Jesus and your family has for you. You are a wonderful little boy. We are so happy you are part of our forever family. We love you more than words could ever say.
Mom
